Anubi

Once feral beasts that terrorized the Scarab Empire. The anubi have become one of the empire's staunchest defenders, becoming the empire's shock-troops and border guards. The anubi kingdoms (neguses) populate the western domain of the empire. Brick cities covered in gardens, blending the wild and civilized nature of the anubi. The western domain is where anubi packs compete for dominance in the most untamed part of the empire.

To be an anubi is to run with the pack howling at the moon. Anubi uphold honor and glory as a warrior society. Increasing the power and prestige of the pack is the goal of every pack member.

Anubi, who become adventurers, leave to live the life of a predator, relishing in the thrill of the hunt. Others leave to hone their skills in battle and create allies for their return to the pack to become alpha. The most ambitious of anubi need these skills to advance within their society. In anubi society, only traditional brutal claws out combat to assert dominance moves one up in society.
